CRCA/Bicycle Workshop

Emma and Liz took 4th and 6th respectively. Not bad for first race of the season in sub-freezing weather and a crash in the second lap.

Podium!

First race of the season for any of the team, and Nan rocked the Tour de Newark in Branchbrook Park, Newark to take third in the women's 3/4 race.

Without teammates, she played it smart, figuring out who the competition was (including local favorite Betty Tyrell) and waiting for the right moment to pull out her finishing sprint.

Nicely done!

Winter cleaning

We're delighted to announce that we have a new title sponsor—the Bicycle Workshop in Tenafly, NJ. They're right over the bridge, easy to get to, and happy to help. Be sure to stop by and tell them the girls sent you!

Plus, SockGuy will be sponsoring us this season, and we couldn't be more pleased because we love socks. Especially fun, brightly colored socks. (We're simple people, really.)

In other news, in conjunction with Bicycle Workshop, we'll be organizing the women's cat 3/4 series this year—stay tuned for a listing of events and other details. First race will probably be Bear Mountain, but no promises.

And yes, there will be a new website address one of these days, so stay tuned and prepared to update your bookmarks....the shoemaker's children never get shoes....
